AI In Action: Quick Tutorials

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use ChatGPT’s memory feature to streamline repetitive tasks — like sending weekly newsletters, tracking nutrition, or managing recurring social media formats.

Step-by-step:

  • Turn on Memory in ChatGPT Settings Go to Settings → Personalization → Memory and make sure it’s switched on. You’ll see a notification the first time memory is used.

  • Tell ChatGPT what to remember You can say something like:

  • “Please remember that every Monday I prepare a newsletter called AI Essentials for Leaders, and I prefer article summaries with headers, bullet points, and SEO titles/descriptions.”

  • Or: “Please remember that I’m tracking my daily nutrition — calories, protein, sugar, fiber, etc. — and I want you to keep a log every day.”

  • Use your remembered workflows regularly Just say: “Let’s start the Monday newsletter.” Or “Here’s my food log for today.”

  • ChatGPT will already know your preferences — no need to re-explain each time.

Update your memory when things change Just say:

  • “Update my memory — I now want my newsletter SEO descriptions under 130 characters instead of 150.”

  • Or view/delete memory items under Settings → Personalization → Manage Memory.

Pro Tip: Use memory like a personal project assistant. Train ChatGPT once, and then reuse the same flow every time. You’ll save mental bandwidth and reduce setup friction — perfect for editorial workflows, podcast scripts, product tracking, or ongoing health goals.
