Thin or TOO Thin? What's the Fascination with Bones?

Hi all! Devyn Devine here with another column for your reading pleasure. I thought since the last two columns were kind of heavy I would lighten things up a bit with a topic I have wondered about since I entered my "crazy" world of porn.
So, ok, I understand the need to be attractive in the adult industry. I mean, a lot of naked people walking around next to one another, but what I fail to understand is why the girls need to be so thin. Clearly I am a curvaceous little minx, and the fact is that nobody could accuse me of being hungry. This use to be a hang up for me... ok, who am I kidding? I look at so many of these stunning girls in the industry and I wish I could look that thin for one second. But then I come back down to reality and realize that it is my curves that make me stand out.
Honestly, I get tons of fan mail from guys (and chicks-especially on MySpace) who tell me I have the perfect body and that I am amazing. I usually write them back and tell them to have their vision checked before offering my sincerest gratitude for their admiration. Really though, with the amount of letters I receive on a weekly basis, it surprises me that all the top production companies focus on the "perfect" looking female.
I have been in the industry for six months now. In that time, I have managed to shoot in 5 different countries and stay extremely busy. I have tried out my agent talents with a new girl I found in the Seattle area, and I have expanded my knowledge to behind the camera work as well. With all that I have going on it took me three months to brave working in Los Angeles. I didn't think I could pull it off with my "look."
What I have found, however, is that there is a niche for everyone and I don't have to be a stick with two floatation devices attached to my chest. At the same time, I am tired of going to shoots or being called to shoot for the BBW line. I haven't shot BBW except for one really well known magazine, but I mean, Come ON! While I know anything bigger than a size 2 is just huge in porn... I wear a size 8. When did a size 8 become BBW?

Just the other day, I had the most amazing conversation with a dear friend of mine. He is in the industry and was talking with another model that is extremely thin. This friend thought it would be a great idea for her and me to shoot together because we would really compliment each other. And girls - don't get me wrong, I Love skinny flat-chest girls. To me, that is sexy because it is the opposite of me. But getting back to my story... my friend mentioned my name to this girl who I have never met before and she had heard of me. (*Shock and surprise-grin*) She told him that she would be really insecure to do a scene with me. I guess she has a hang up on her breast size.
That is Crazy! This girl possess the right assets to make it in this business -I mean, really, if the breasts are problem, at least she can go buy herself a pair. To have a thin girl insecure to work with me is the highest compliment there is!
So help me out guys. Do you really want to watch the stick figure porn goddess that, well, lets face it, you probably could never have anyway, (Believe me, no matter who you are, your ass is not and will never be royal enough for Jenna!) or is something a little more real and raw up your alley? I know everyone likes something different, so how about letting those well known production companies know that you want more than blond bimbette... you want big natural tit bimbette, and thick Puerto Rican porn bimbettes.
