(BARCELONA, SPAIN) -- As you will no doubt be aware, a new law will be effective this very week, and it is very much in our interest to inform our affiliates the current situation regarding Private.
In accordance with the 18 U.S.C. 2257 record-keeping Requirements Compliance Statement that is required by all explicit content sites, we inform all our Private Cash affiliates that there will be some notable changes taking place as of the 23rd June 2005.
Private Media Group feels very strongly about the privacy and safety of its models and content, therefore we will not be releasing personal information on our models to any of our webmasters for the foreseeable future. We are working on a solution to get our webmasters compliant, but this will take a few months.
We understand that the new law must apply to everyone in the same manner, and we don't see why this should negatively affect our collaboration with our affiliates, in terms of traffic and their revenue. Therefore, we will not be removing any content from the program itself. However, we have compiled the following policies that we Strongly Urge our affiliates to follow:
US Affiliates:
Due to the unfortunate fact that this is a US law, we request that you remove all Hardcore content (movie/photo galleries) from your sites. We are currently reviewing alternatives so that we can make this particular content available to you in the future, but you will be putting yourself at risk if you choose to continue promoting explicit content from any of the Private sites. The Softcore material will continue being acceptable for your sites.
Non-US Affiliates:
All webmasters who operate outside of the US can continue promoting both Hardcore & Softcore content. However, if you are targeting US traffic then this will be your responsibility to manage.
It is important to note that the existing banner content and additional promotional material will also continue to be accessible to All affiliates via your personal account page. Furthermore, we will continue updating the galleries, features and promotional content on a weekly basis, so make sure that you continue working this fantastic material in your site!
We appreciate that this law amendment will de difficult for everyone, so please feel free to contact us with any questions and concerns you might have. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that we can soon have everything back to normal and continue working on a solid partnership for the future.
