by: Company Press Release

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP.org) is scheduled to be on the "Hot Issues and Problems in the Adult Internet" seminar on Tuesday, June 14th at 1:45 P.M at the Cybernet Expo (CyberNetExpo.com) event in San Diego.

"Much has changed at ASACP in the last year. Its name is now the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection and it has obtained its non-profit status. We launched a re-designed site (ASACP.org), developed new technology and incorporated new Best Practices. Being a panelist at Cybernet Expo will be a great opportunity to discuss the very important issue of child protection on the Internet with a very targeted and concerned group of Webmasters. In addition, given that Cybernet Expo provides a spectacular venue for quality networking, I feel that the event will be a great vehicle for ASACP and other companies looking to make the industry a better place to do business in," states Joan Irvine, executive director, ASACP.

Cybernet Expo Director and Co-organizer Jay Kopita adds, "The 'Hot Issues' seminar was a real crowd pleaser last year with plenty of important topics discussed during its one hour run. This year I am thrilled to add Joan Irvine to the list of esteemed speakers who are willing to tackle the important issues and discuss possible solutions in our growing and ever-changing industry."

About ASACP:

ASACP is very active in the efforts to remove child pornography from the Internet. It has provided a child pornography reporting hotline since 1996 and sends over 1,000 validated reports to the FBI, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and other relevant international hotlines annually. It has developed technical systems that monitor its members for words which might denote child pornography and will soon implement a method to scan websites for illegal images.

In addition to its reporting hotline, ASACP provides a self-regulatory vehicle for its members through a Code of Ethics that promotes the protection of children through responsible, professional business practices (ASACP.org/bestpractices.html).
