Daydream Hires Pounder

(TARZANA, CA) -- Daydream Production Company has hired Dave Pounder as Director of Production. Daydream owns and operates several adult Internet sites, namely InTheSexParty.com
"Dave is a very professional, trustworthy individual who has a lot of experience within the adult industry," said Ken, president of the company. "We were looking for someone with a mainstream business background who had experience in all aspects of the adult industry; Dave was an ideal fit for the job." "We initially hired Dave as a performer on several of our shoots and immediately saw the value in bringing him on as a full-time employee." Pounder will be responsible for all production and post-production operations at the company. Daydream will continue to use Pounder as talent in their productions. "We are developing a character site around Dave since he has such a dynamic, outgoing personality; we think it will do very well with our family of sites," said Ken.
Pounder is excited about the opportunity. "There isn't any money to be made in the long-term as a full-time performer in this business," said Pounder. "Under perfect employment and assuming a $400 rate, the most I could gross as a performer in any given year would be $146,000 - and no one is working everyday," Pounder continued, "Show me one performer in this business who didn't start their own company and has something to show for it." "I want to make money while I sleep, and since adult movies do not pay residuals, production and distribution in conjunction with creative marketing and a solid understanding of your customer base are really where the money is made." Pounder will continue to release titles under his own company, Dave Pounder Productions, but will focus primarily on his new responsibilities at Daydream.
