(NEW HAVEN, CT) -- Crickett Lancaster, a.k.a. Porn Store Princess, is taking her retail career a bit further. "Even though I read constantly and have knowledge of sex toys and videos, I still haven't 'experienced the business' yet," states PSP. "It's difficult, because everything happens on the West Coast and I'm on the other side of the country. It makes it hard to really see how all of this business operates.
This upcoming trade show fortunately has every adult product, from novelties to strip clubs, so I am going to be like a human sponge - soaking up all of the information I can. Then, I can disseminate the information to my staff and customers."
PSP believes that the best way of learning is simply diving right in and playing with the players. She is also using this as an opportunity to promote a new annual holiday that recognizes the unsung heroes of the adult industry: The retail females.
"Porn Store Princess Day, on September 18th, is just a little thank-you to all those women who endure unwanted advances from customers, scorn from their families, and sometimes ridicule and shunning from their friends.
Many people in the industry tend to forget that we're out here, selling their products and trying to remain as educated as possible as to what's going in the industry, both in the novelty and media arenas. However, with the recent increase in the purchasing of adult products by women, it should come as no shock what a benefit we can be to any company. I have a passion for this industry, and I'm not the only one. I just happen to be a bit more outspoken about it."
