Indie Film Short Starring Jason Sechrest Resurfaces on DVD

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Producer/director Jason Paul Collum's critically acclaimed documentary on the B-movie film world "Something to Scream About" hit store shelves yesterday from Tempe Video, featuring one of his early horror film shorts "Julia Wept" as part of the DVD extras. Jason Sechrest, a rising actor/radio host and adult entertainment personality, co-stars in "Julia Wept" along with horror film icon Brinke Stevens who hosts the "Something to Scream About" documentary, now available at Blockbuster, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Virgin Records, Tower Video, Barnes & Noble and a number of your other local vendors.
Sechrest's credit in the production, shot in the year 2000, reads "introducing Jason Sechrest," as it was his first time acting on film. "It was also the first time I was paid for it," laughs Sechrest. "I think I was given $20.00 for it and I told myself that from that point forward that I would never do any projects for free. Thankfully, my pay has increased in the past few of years. Not by much! But it has increased, nonetheless."
Next up, Jason Sechrest's supporting role in the "The Legacy" (formerly titled "Final Exam") will finally be released in July 2004. The film, helmed by Roger Corman, casts Sechrest as the comic relief, "A stoner frat bro who is obsessed with tits." the movie was recently screened in Hawaii and will first hit video shelves before airing on cable networks.
Meanwhile, Jason Sechrest's weekly sex talk radio program, KSEXradio's "The Young & the Curious," remains one of the most popular on the station, recently adding mainstream celebrities to the mix (ie. NYPD Blue's Esai Morales). He also hosts the West Hollywood based show "Cocktails with the Stars" at club Micky's every Thursday night from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm; he performs similar hosting duties in what is the largest non-sex role in the history of adult video for Jet set Productions' new release "American Porn Star," now available at JetSetMen.com; and he parodies the irrepressible Jack character from television's "Will & Grace" in another non-sex role for Jill Kelly Productions' "Bill & Stace," now available at JillKellyProductions.com.

At twenty-three years old, he and his site were named in Arena magazine last year as one of "The 50 Most Powerful People" in adult entertainment, a list that included the likes of Larry Flynt and Hugh Hefner.
