Passion Fruit Video Diversifies

Passion Fruit Video has announced a new plan for diversifying in 2004 with ventures into R-rated features as well as documentary film and movies for the web. Passion Fruit's producer/director, Alpha, has done several adult films, including "Capture"," Home Cookin'", the AVN nominated "Gallery Erotica" last year and this year's AVN nominated "Gonza: Wanna be a Porn Star?" with BadGirlzRule. This month she completed their first R-rated feature "How To Pick Up Girls: A Guide for the Dating Impaired".
The new movie is about lesbian dating, worst dates in history and finding true love and stars two of the headliners from Gonza -- 21 year old Goth model Mysteria Black and 23 year old Rhiannon Arivon who do one of the two sizzling sex scenes in the movie. "We pushed the envelope for an R-rated feature", says Alpha, "but coming from an X background made us want to not be too coy about lesbian passion." Passion Fruit has already had inquiries from cable channels about the feature.
How To Pick Up Girls: A Guide for the Dating Impaired, will premiere in Austin, Texas (where it was filmed) the second week of February, with appearances by the stars. "We thought right before Valentine's Day was apropos", laughs Kathryn MacGregor, who co-stars, "Who all feel pretty clueless about dating. The guys who have seen the preview screenings usually say (after they comment on the hot sex scenes) how surprised they are to have picked up some really good dating tips!"
Alpha, who's background is in documentary film before doing adult movies, plans another documentary in 2004, as well as another adult movie tentatively called "Woman X 3" and hopes to be developing pilots for cable channel on How To Pick Up Girls. "It's turning into a wild and crazy year with the premiere and the AVN nomination for Gonza", she says, "but it's a great kind of crazy!"
