(BARCELONA, Spain) -- Private Media Group Inc., (Nasdaq: PRVT - news) worldwide leader in premium-quality adult entertainment products, services and Internet content, today announced that John Millerman, one of the Company's movie directors, has been nominated for a prestigious Nebula Award(TM) by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America Inc. for one of the Company's most ambitious productions to date, 'The Uranus Experiment, Part 2,' which is available on VHS video and DVD formats, as well as via the Company's flagship website, www. private.com. The awards ceremony will take place in New York City on May 20, 2000.
Nominated in the 'Script' section, 'The Uranus Experiment, Part 2' (Private Media Group Inc.) has three rivals for a Nebula Award(TM): Larry and Andy Wachowski's 'The Matrix' (Warner Bros.), M. Night Shyamalan's 'The Sixth Sense' (Hollywood Pictures), Brad Bird and Tim McCanlies' 'The Iron Giant' (Warner Bros.) and Robert J. Avrech's 'The Devil's Arithmetic' (Showtime Television).
Previous winners of Nebula Awards(TM) include Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder, William Gibson, Joe Haldeman, Anne McCaffrey and Frank Herbert.
