WantedList.com Founders Make Cover of Asian Week Magazine

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Hot on the heels of their appearance on Tech TV, WantedList.com has added another stellar media outlet to the barrage of press they've been experiencing lately: That of Asian Week Magazine. Not only did the San Francisco-based publication write up a lengthy feature article on the founders of the company, Anh Tran and Danny Ting, but the duo made the cover of the magazine!
"We were quite excited to be interviewed by Asian Week, and thrilled to hear that we were going to make the cover story," says WantedList.com co-founder Danny Ting. "When they wanted to write a real life 'Better Luck Tomorrow' article by drawing on our experiences, we were only too happy to oblige. We think that this type of recognition from our peers substantiates what we've done, especially in a profession that isn't a typical Asian industry. Most of the time we just get high-fives."
Asian Week, the only English language national newsweekly for Asian Pacific Americans, was founded in 1979 and boasts a readership of 175,000 people. Considering the significance of their publication, co-founder Anh Tran is pleased with the coverage.
"There is definitely a specific audience that reads Asian Week versus someone like Details magazine, but the key really has to deal with the story itself," Tran notes. "Asian Week is doing more of a profile of the two Asian American guys that started this company than the service that we provide."
The issue of Asian Week featuring the founders of WantedList.com hit newsstands Thursday, October 16th 2003.
