David Schlesinger Returns to Vivid as VP of Licensing

(VAN NUYS, CA) -- Top adult industry marketing executive David Schlesinger is returning to the Vivid Entertainment Group to take the new position of Vice President of Licensing. His appointment was announced by Vivid's co-founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch.
Mr. Schlesinger will assume direction of Vivid's expanding brand name marketing program, which currently encompasses areas such as a publishing deal with the ReganBooks division of HarperCollins, a full range of Vivid Condoms, Vivid Virility herbal supplements, posters and calendars, a line of Sims Snowboards featuring images of Vivid Girls, a new line of graphic novels and comic books to be published by Avatar press, a line of action figure dolls, plus a variety of Internet marketing projects.
"Extension of the Vivid brand name is a vital part of our ongoing strategy to retain our position as the world's leading producer of quality adult entertainment and there is no one better to carry out this phase of our business than David Schlesinger," said Mr. Hirsch.
Mr. Schlesinger first joined Vivid in February 1998 as a public relations executive and was named Vice President and Director for New Media and Marketing in 2000 with primary responsibility for the company's Internet and other advanced technology activities. He left the firm in late 2002 to take on independent film marketing assignments.
Mr. Schlesinger began his career as a public relations and marketing executive in the resort hospitality industry. He joined Arista Records in Los Angeles in 1994 and became an artist and repertoire coordinator. He has been active in the Free Speech Coalition and the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles. In his spare time, he enjoys music and snow boarding.
