Jenna Signs Biggest Contract of Career with Vivid

(VAN NUYS, CA) -- Jenna Jameson, the world's leading adult film star, today signed a new seven-year contract with Vivid Entertainment Group under which she will release at least 15 movies and begin directing films.
In a joint announcement, Vivid and Ms. Jameson's company, ClubJenna, Inc., also said she will star in the big-budget remake of the classic adult film "The Masseuse" to be shot in Europe and the United States later this year. Her male co-star will be the adult film actor and director Justin Sterling, who has directed previous films produced by the ClubJenna studio. The new contract also gives her the option to appear in future sequels to the popular Vivid series, "Where the Boys Aren't."
"This is by far the biggest, most important film contract I have ever signed and it is also likely to be the last in the adult sector," said Ms. Jameson, who has been a Vivid Girl for the past three years. "I am excited about the opportunity to direct films, and I expect we will be announcing some other exciting developments in the near future."
Steven Hirsch, a founder and co-chairman of Vivid, said: "We feel very fortunate to be able to continue our terrific relationship with Jenna, who is by far the most popular performer in the history of adult films. She is clearly the best at what she does, just as we feel that we are the best company to distribute and market her work. It's a perfect marriage."
Vivid distributed the first two films produced by ClubJenna, including the studio's first title, "Briana Loves Jenna," which was named by AVN as the best selling and renting adult film of 2002, and its second, "I Dream of Jenna," another sales phenomenon in VHS and DVD.
Jay Grdina, ClubJenna chief executive, said: "We've tracked sales numbers over the past year and see that sales of Jenna's features have been monumental and continue to grow. It makes absolute sense for Jenna to continue her partnership with Vivid."
Mr. Grdina said Ms. Jameson also would continue her mainstream entertainment ventures. The ReganBooks division of HarperCollins will publish the first of a two-book deal, "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star," this fall. She presently has a recurring role in the NBC political drama series "Mister Sterling," and she has had several Hollywood film roles, including feature parts in "Howard Stern's Private Parts" and "Porn 'n Chicken" from Comedy Central.
