Wicked Pictures Left Breathless at 2003 AVN Awards

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Adult industry leader Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that it won a total of eleven awards at the 2003 Adult Video News Awards Show January 11th in Las Vegas, including two awards for Brad Armstrong's controversial feature film Falling From Grace, four for Michael Raven's celebrated video Breathless, and three for the special two disc DVD edition of the runaway success Euphoria.
The evening got off to a rousing start with Wicked Girl Sydnee Steele winning Best Supporting Actress - Video for her fine work in Breathless. By the end of the evening, Breathless had collected three more major awards, including a Best Actress - Video trophy for Devinn Lane, a Best Screenplay - Video award to the writing team of Michael Raven and Devan Sapphire, and a Best Director - Video nod for Michael Raven.
In other highlights, Brad Armstrong's Falling From Grace saw the actor/writer/director taking home Best Actor - Film for his excellent lead performance in addition to winning Best Screenplay - Film for the script he co-wrote with Daniel Metcalf and Jonathan Morgan. Morgan's Hercules also received recognition in the form of a Best Supporting Actor - Video nod to veteran adult film star Randy Spears.
In perhaps the biggest news of the evening, Wicked Pictures' embracing of DVD as the future medium for adult films saw Wicked DVD head David Crawford walking away with a trio of awards, including Best DVD and Best DVD Extras for Euphoria, the runaway blockbuster that swept the 2002 AVN Awards last year by winning seven major awards during its initial VHS release. Wicked's ongoing commitment to high quality was recognized with an overall award for Best DVD Authoring.
The end of the evening saw Wicked Pictures' design and PR divisions recognized with an award for Best Overall Marketing Campaign - Company Image, and a formal induction into the AVN Hall of Fame for contract actor / director Jonathan Morgan.
