JKP Exclusive, Jenna Haze, Crowned AVN'S Best New Starlet

(LAS VEGAS, NV) -- Jill Kelly Productions exclusive contract performer, Jenna Haze, had her ship come in on Saturday, January 11th, when the 2003 AVN Awards crowned her the year's Best New Starlet, an honor previously bestowed upon Tera Patrick and Violet Blue. Haze was also awarded with Best Solo Scene for Elegant Angel's, "Big Bottom Sadie."
A native of California, Jenna Haze was raised in the Orange County area, and is proud to be referred to as a "Cali girl." with an insatiable appetite for sexual deviance growing up, Haze found her calling as an adult film star when she performed in her first movie on July 19th, 2001. In April of 2002, after being sought after by a series of prestigious adult video companies, Haze decided on a contract with Jill Kelly Productions. "It's run by a woman and that made all the difference to me," said Haze upon signing with JKP. "This contract allows me more free reign than any other company. Jill [Kelly] likes me the way I am and doesn't want me to change myself at all. I love all her girls, too, they're like family to me, so it just seemed natural."
"Natural" has been the word many have used to describe Jenna Haze, a natural-born porn star whose claim to fame is that sweet and innocent girl demeanor that can turn at any second into one of the naughtiest, dirtiest performers on camera. Still, Haze claims surprise when hearing her name called by last year's Best New Starlet, Violet Blue, at the podium, and gave what was undoubtedly, the most tearful speech of the evening.
"I still can't believe it," said Haze, in a statement from the Los Angeles based Jill Kelly offices this morning. "It all seemed to go by so fast. I got up there and didn't even know what to say. It was so overwhelming. I don't think I stopped crying for an hour. It's so weird, I had to eventually turn my phone off yesterday and when I woke up this morning, there were flowers all over my office. I'm just still in a state of shock and so unbelievably happy. I start jumping up and down every time I see it sitting on my desk."
Most important to Haze, however, was the reaction from her fellow sisters in the JKP family. "It was just like mascara running all over our faces," she laughs. "When they called my name, the applause and the scream from our table was deafening in my ears. I just started bawling and then everyone else started crying too. Deven Davis wouldn't let go of me for a good ten minutes. ... I felt like I got crowned Miss America. We've always been a really close family, but having an award for one of us makes us closer and stronger than ever before. I finally have a group of friends in my life where I know that if shit goes down, they are there for me. I never had that before. Ever."
Jenna Haze graces AVN's Box Cover of the Month, for Jill Kelly Productions' "Experiment in Sex," and her interactive DVD, "My Sex Kitten, Jenna Haze," is already #15 after only a month on the top-selling DVD charts. Haze is anxious for her next wall-to-wall, "Jenna Loves Girls," to be released from JKP next month. She'll also embark upon her first ever feature dancing tour after she celebrates her 21st birthday in February.
