AVN Award Nominations Announced

(CHATSWORTH, CA) -- Adult Video News has announced its 2003 Awards Show nominations, with "The Fashionistas" from Evil Angel setting an AVN record for most nominations garnered by an individual title. Among production studios, Evil Angel took the top spot for most nominations with 85, followed by Wicked with 68, Vivid with 65, VCA with 44, New Sensations with 41, and Metro with 37.
"The Fashionistas" was nominated in 22 categories - including Best Film and Best Director for John Stagliano - setting an AVN record for most nominations garnered by an individual title.
A complete list of all nominations is available at the AVN.com Website. AVN voters will complete their balloting next month, with the winners to be announced Jan. 11 at the 20th annual AVN Awards Show at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
AVN said 13 adult industry luminaries, including T.T. Boy and Jill Kelly, will be inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame at the Awards Show.
"The hundreds of nominations in dozens of categories are the result of lengthy and intensive discussions last month by the AVN editorial staff about the merits of the numerous productions, augmented by the screening of videos and DVDs," said AVN Editor in Chief Mike Ramone. "The nominations represent the very best our industry has to offer." Producers whose works received nominations were asked to check the AVN.com website for instructions on sending copies of tapes and DVDs nominated. Nominations in some of the major categories were:
