Adam & Eve Sex Stat For May 2002 - The Natural Look Is In

When it comes to women's breasts, that's the surprising verdict from the majority of American men responding to a new national survey.

The survey, sponsored by Adam & Eve, found that 47 percent of men - nearly half of those polled - think that women look sexier before they get artificial breast implants. Only 21 percent of the males surveyed think women look sexier after getting implants.

Adam & Eve is the nation's largest mail order distributor of erotica. Its Website is AdamEve.com. Women, on the other hand, were less convinced about the natural look. While 37 percent of the women surveyed think that natural breasts are sexier than implants, 31 percent said they weren't sure. "While a well-endowed, sculpted chest may be more fashionable these days, the soft, genuine look of a woman's natural body is sexier for most men," said Katy Zvolerin of Adam & Eve. "What this survey shows is that women should take pride in their bodies and not be afraid to show off their natural assets."

Overall, 42 percent of Americans think that women look sexier before they get implants, according to the survey conducted for Adam & Eve by Harris Interactive.

Only 18 percent of those surveyed believe that women look sexier after getting a surgical boost to their chests, while 9 percent said they look the same and 31 percent said they weren't sure.

"What makes a man or woman sexy is not the size of their body parts, but their capacity to bring high levels of eroticism, meaning and connection to their sexual encounters," said Ron Feintech, PhD, an AASECTcertified sex therapist."It is refreshing to hear that most men and women are not taken in by the 'bigger is better' theory," Feintech said.

The random-digit telephone survey conducted by Harris Interactive of 1,000 adults ages 18 to 65 was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study American attitudes toward sexuality. For more information about Adam & Eve or to order a catalog, visit the Website at AdamEve.com or call 1-800-765-Adam.
