Dale DaBone Speaks his Mind On KSEX Radio

(Burbank, CA) -- Jacklyn Lick (http://www.jacklynlick.com) in a nightie, Jason Sechrest in his jammies, Dale DaBone in a wifebeater tank, and Wankus in a moo moo! What better way to kick off "The JasonCurious.com Pajama Party" on Monday night at KSEXRadio.com's "Tales of Tail with Jacklyn Lick"?
DaBone took to the live globally broadcasted program last evening for his final interview, following his announcement last month of retirement from adult features to pursue more mainstream ventures as an actor, drummer, guitarist, fashion model, and extreme motorcyclist.
When Sechrest introduced the night as being "Dale DaBone's final interview... For now," the star was quick to correct him without hesitation. "No, this my final interview for sure," confirmed DaBone. "I was thinking if things don't work out someday I might come back, but I know now that I'm definitely not coming back." He cited many factors for making this decision, namely the "politics" of the adult film and video world. "Every industry has its positives and it's negatives, but it was getting to where the bad outweighed the good. If every director was like Paul Thomas or if every company was like Jill Kelly Productions (http://www.jillkellyproductions.com) or if every actor was like Marc Davis and Dillon Day, things would be different. But then you've got your people like Scott Justice who will act like your friend and then stab you in the back when you least expect it. The industry is full of people like him."
Sechrest and Lick agreed that this was, without a doubt, the happiest either had ever seen the stud. "I'm incredibly happy with my life right now and I'm glad it shows," he smiled. "I owe everything to the woman in my life. I've been in a relationship for about a year now and it's been really difficult for her in a lot of ways. While her friends are all talking about how their boyfriend just got home from working as a pilot or an accountant, she has to say that her boyfriend just got home from fucking some chick."
Getting back to the politics DaBone disliked within the industry, Sechrest asks him how he took his loss at this year's 2002 AVN Awards (http://www.AVN.com) where he was nominated for both Best Actor and Best Supporting actor in a film. "I was nominated for four major awards at the show and I think that's about as many as a guy can be nominated for," he explains. "I might have felt differently about losing if it weren't for the fact that the movie I was nominated for won everything but that. 'Fade to Black' swept the awards, but mine was the one it didn't win. I talked to many insiders about it and they were very honest in telling me that it was basically because of my attitude. A lot of people feel as though I come off very cocky and arrogant. And that's fine! I agree with them, especially in the beginning of my career. I was a newcomer and I was very wide-eyed and that's how I handled it."
Lick took this as the perfect opportunity to surprise Dale DaBone with a KSEX Radio award certificate for "Da Bone Dat Got Away!" as she had yet to work with him on camera. Sechrest chimed in that he had yet to work with DaBone on camera as well, and after a short commercial break, presented him with a cake that read: "We'll Miss you, Electrisying Dele."
"Ok, we need one of our show's 'Fuck you' segments here," laughed Sechrest. "I say 'Fuck you' to the ladies at the Ralph's bakery in Van Nuys. You know, no one in Van Nuys speaks the fucking language so I had to spell 'electrifying' and 'Dale' for them over the phone. It's supposed to be a joke because Dale always refers to himself as 'the Electrifying, Dale DaBone.' but when I picked up the cake today, the fuckers spelled it 'Electrisying Dele.' and I asked them for a lightning bolt, but they must've thought I said 'light bulb' because that's what they put on it."
Wrapping up the show, Dale DaBone mentioned Sydnee Steele and Nina Hartley as his favorite actresses to work with during his time as an on-screen sex stud. "And that's not necessarily because they were the girls who gave the best head or anything. It's more because of how they treated the business. Sydnee is just the classiest lady in this industry and Nina is the most professional you'll find. Those were the kind of people I liked working with."
