The Floating World: The Web’s First Calendar of XXX Events

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- The web’s first porn industry events calendar has officially launched. The Floating World (www.thefloatingworld.com) features up-to-date schedules for strip club appearances, online events (porn star chat and online shows) and adult industry events such as conventions, fundraisers, and parties. Every kind of porn event with a time, location and a star is listed. It’s free to surf the site, and it’s also free to list events on www.thefloatingworld.com.
Terri Redor, the Floating World’s publisher, says he knows “most stars make an important part of their living either by touring on the dance circuit or by promoting their websites. I think a site like this will help them to find a bigger audience.” The Floating World lists porn star feature appearances at clubs both by performer name and by state/city. Performers’ names link directly to their official sites.
“People become very excited at the prospect of meeting their favorite stars. Not many get a chance to meet their favorite Hollywood actresses and actors. But anyone can meet their favorite porn stars, all year, all over the country.”
“The fans”, says Redor, “want to meet their favorite stars because they want to have a personal experience of some kind. A big part of this industry’s future lies in making this kind of personal experience possible, but it’s often difficult for fans to keep track of what’s happening out there. This site makes it easy for them.”
The site also makes it easy for those active in the industry to find out about events of special interest to them – meetings, auditions, healthcare events, etc. – in a section called “the Biz”. “The Biz” and the site’s other sections include a large collection of annotated links to adult resources on the web. “Stars” features one of the most complete lists of official porn star websites on the Internet, updated weekly.
It’s easy and free to list an event on the site. Just send an event description, location and time to events@thefloatingworld.com. Photos should be in .gif or .jpg format, and at least 148 pixels in width. Performers are encouraged to submit the photo that they would most like to see displayed with their events. Press releases are also very welcome.
