(CHATSWORTH, CA) -- In a statement issued today, John Chambliss, CEO of Simon Wolf Productions, announced the company's buy-back of Jill Kelly Productions' interest in Simon Wolf's Blue Angel, a move designed to return 100% ownership in the high-budget feature to its creators.
Chambliss expressed his pleasure with the transaction. “In Blue Angel, Simon has once again set a cast of very lovable characters into a fascinating world that is 'typical Simon Wolf'. One of our goals is to now further develop the project into a television series, and Simon thus wanted total control over its future. We remain extremely close friends with JKP and thank them for providing us with the opportunity to attain our objectives.”
Although Chambliss declined specific comment on the company's domestic distribution plans, which this year will include the release of eighteen features plus a new gonzo series to be developed by Tabitha Stevens, he did go on record with, “We are now discussing this arena with a number of people, and I would hope that we'll be in a position to announce a significant relationship within the next few weeks. Our initial feature releases this year will include Blue Angel, Love At First Byte, Magic sex, Naughty Bedtime Stories and Simon's very special, Legend of Wolf Creek. And each of these will be augmented by Tabitha's new series, which is as yet untitled.
