(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- The steely guitars, the sultry glances. For years dozens of adult stars have appeared in countless " rock videos ", intermingling the two industries. Not too long ago a talented group of porn stars even compiled a CD that blurred the lines even further (Porn to Rock). The line between the porn industry and rock & roll has always been a convenient separation for the rock industry. Sex sells but the music industry would never put it so matter of factly.
The circles commonly cross over. Musicians have used them on their CD covers, pose for press photos, profess wild sex filled parties and even, I know it's a stretch, have sex. Today the legitimacy of the porn industry as a multi-billion dollar industry is impossible to ignore. The influence of mainstream legitimacy has allowed the adult industry to flourish. In an effort to bring the Rock Industry and the Porn Industry associations out of the closet Wild Velvet.com the company that brought porn stars to their fans with the Wild Velvet.com Tour 2001 this summer presents: EROCKTICA. EROCKTICA capitalizes on this climate of acceptance of the adult industry and the buzz surrounding today's top rock & roll bands. Scheduled for Friday, October 5th from 9pm - 2am at the "Conga Room" (5364 Wilshire Blvd. just west of La Brea). Headlining the bands is Southern California's own "Common Sense" (CD - release party). Whose latest release "State of the Nation" offers an infectious mix of rock, reggae, funk and soul. The "Jolly Lamas" will be first on stage, so be sure to get there early to catch the driving guitar and twangy vocals found on there hit CD "Two Seconds to the Moon" getting air time on alternative radio stations throughout the country.
The sexiest performer of the evening "Rayko" puts on a raw energy high sex appeal, attention grabbing performance of their latest CD release "Crave". Captain Pants, Nine, and Cisco Kid also performing.
In attendance will be wall-to-wall pornstars mixing, mingling and rockin' out, several film crews will be in attendance, as there's sure to be lots of action.
