(LONDON, UK) -- Katie K is getting the movie star treatment on the set of the new film, King of Soho. The British pornstar has been a hot topic in the mainstream media due to her role alongside a-list actors like Steve Coogan, Anna Friel, Stephen Fry and Imogen Poots.
Set to release in 2013, the movie is a biopic of Paul Raymond, the man who opened the first British strip club and then later made millions investing in porn publications and real estate. Katie K plays Haley, a dancer at Paul Raymond's club who later ends up in bed with the porn baron and his wife.
"The experience of shooting the movie was just incredible!" said Katie. "The crew treated me like as if I was a Hollywood star and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and happy at all times. The other actors were fantastic and so talented. It was all very surreal performing with celebrities I've seen on TV and in movies!"
The "Bad Girl of Britain’s" silver screen debut has been stirring the British press. Several publications such as national UK tabloid newspaper "The Weekend Sport" and UK weekly lad's magazine "Zoo Magazine" have been covering the pornstar’s transition onto the mainstream stage. Shots of Katie K on the set with comedy star Steve Coogan, who plays the "King of Soho" Paul Raymond, have been circulating on the newsstands and thrusting Katie into a world of high end celebrities and the gossip that comes with it. However, Katie K is up for the challenge.
"Mainstream acting is something I've wanted to do since I was five," said Katie. "I've been professionally trained in acting and performing arts pretty much my whole life. I am absolutely speechless that my dream has come true and I've acted in a mainstream movie. I hope to do more in the very near future!"
Though she promises that her career as one of Britain’s top adult actresses is still top priority, Katie K is one to watch as she inches her way closer to mainstream stardom.
