Upon its VHS release, critics were quick to point out that Priceless was one of the finest works to date in this popular genre. GENESIS raved, "all the queens of erotica in this movie prove to be priceless!" while CLUB INTERNATIONAL opined, "great sex and a decent thriller storyline make this show an entertaining watch."
HUSTLER'S BUSTY BEAUTIES took another approach, reserving their highest praise for the video's freshly-signed new star: "North nails lithe, ample-on-top Jenna Jameson in a steamy screw session that culminates with jism pouring over her chest-gems. Priceless is worth the rental fee and many a stroke!" AVN declared that the North/Jameson encounter was the best in the show, adding, "Peter and Jenna consummate their passion atop a convertible, in a 69 made most interesting by close-ups of Jameson's quivering thighs. Jenna loses herself in the sex, squealing, "Ohmigod, make me cum!"
Perhaps most telling of all, XXX Movies' Heddon Nast concluded his own review of Priceless with these prophetic words: "Jenna is Wicked's new discovery, and I predict she will become one of those legends on the same scale as Marilyn Chambers."
