(HOLLYWOOD, CA) -- Snakeoil Media's ground-breaking fetish comedy "Rubber Bordello" has been nominated for eight AVN Award Nominations. Top honors in fetish categories as well as a pair of nominations for the incredible score have made "Rubber Bordello" the most successful project of director Soma Snakeoil's illustrious career.
Nominated for Best BDSM release, "Rubber Bordello" provides the sort of well-shot fetish action that Snakeoil fans have come to expect. The variety of nominations shows that "Rubber Bordello" is more than just a fantastic fetish title. With outstanding art direction, an original script and spectacular soundtrack, the movie has been recognized within and outside of its genre.
"We are so proud of how the movie came out," says director Soma Snakeoil. "Everyone worked hard to make this our best project yet. We knew we had done a great job from the fan reaction, but the AVN nominations are icing on the cake. We are very honored to be nominated eight times."
Soma has been nominated for Best Director Feature for her work behind the camera on "Rubber Bordello." It is her first nomination as a director. In addition to the nod in the BDSM category, her movie also earned a Best Comedy nomination.
"We are proud of all eight nominations," adds Soma. "But the Best Comedy nom really makes me happy. We tried to make a movie that looked great, was hot, memorable and made people laugh. Looks like we did all that and then some."
The music of "Rubber Bordello" was also honored with two AVN Award nominations. Fat Mike's unique ragtime-inspired soundtrack is nominated for Best Music Soundtrack and Best Original Song ("She-Donistic Society").
"Rubber Bordello" was also nominated for Best Art Direction, Best Make Up and Best Editing.
