Adult Superstar Vicky Vette is proud to celebrate two nominations for awards by AVN. The popular star picked up her second consecutive nomination for Best Solo Girl Website for http://www.vickyathome.com. Her adult toy line — the 'Vicky Quickie' made by Doc Johnson - was also just nominated for Best Product Line for Men.
Vette is one of the most familiar faces in adult worldwide having just been mentioned during a Jon Stewart monologue on the Daily Show (found here with Vette's mention at around the 12.35 minute mark) and being featured on the front page of Norway's leading newspaper as "Norway's Twitter Queen" (story here and video here). Vette has become somewhat of a mainstream 'celebrity' in Indonesia having starred in the mainstream 'cult-classic' Indonesian horror movie "Pacar Hantu Perawan" last year and regularly tweeting with other Indonesian celebrities. With porn of any kind remaining 100% taboo & blocked, the population's embrace of Vette on twitter is that much more surprising. Vicky Vette is quoted as saying: "It is amazing to think it's been almost 8 years since I got my first ever AVN Nomination for Best Tease. I will never forget the day. I am very proud of the work I have done on the internet and my website has been my focus for years so being nominated two years running in that category is sincerely appreciated. I also just about fell on the floor when I heard the 'Vicky Quickie' line was nominated. My vagina is very proud… ha ha. I can't wait to get to Vegas for the AEE Convention & Awards Show. It's always a lot of fun."
On the Indonesian press, Vicky adds: "It was a really wacky week. Norway, to the Daily Show, to Indonesia. I don't quite know how to explain the Indonesian connection. They tweet me 'Auntie' every single day. It's a connection that started over the years after a band in Indonesia named themselves after me. It's pretty funny that a pornstar is popular in a country that bans porn. Twitter works in amazing ways."
Vette will be appearing with a number of the VNA Girls at the AEE/AVN Convention in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Casino, January 17-19.
