(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Like many people, Desiree Deluca was horrified at the events that took place on December 14 at Sandy Hook Elementary School. She wants to help the families cover funeral expenses and support them in the healing process, so she’s asking her fans to donate to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund through the United Way—anything you can give will make a difference. "This really hit home, since I’ve lived in Connecticut," says Desiree Deluca. "The Newtown area is very close knit and a wonderful place to live, and I’m shocked something like this could happen there. But, I want to help and know the United Way is the best organization to back this project. My fans have big hearts and I’m hoping they open their wallets to help the grieving families."
Fans who help the Sandy Hook families will be rewarded. Tweet a screenshot proving you donated to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund through the United Way, and you will be entered in a drawing for a DVD and a Limited Edition Desiree Deluca Adult Trading Card, both personally signed by Desiree.
