(VAN NUYS, CA) -- Digital Playground is proud to announce that it has received 41 XBIZ Awards nominations with "Top Guns" soaring over the competition. Highlights of DP’s nominations include: Studio of the Year, Studio Site of the Year, as well as Best Adult Branded Pleasure Product of the Year for the Pirates, Jesse Jane® collection.
The 2011 feature "Top Guns" leads the production house’s number of nominations with 11 total, including Best Director - Robby D., Best Special Effects, and Best Parody release. Robby D’s dramatic release "Fighters" received 6 nominations in key categories. All six of DP’s contract stars were nominated individually for their exemplary work for the company this year.
JewelBox Films flagship series, "Cherry" directed by Kay Brandt received five nominations, including Best Director for an Individual Project. Kay Brandt is the only female director nominated this year at XBIZ in this prestigious category. She is a force to be reckoned with and has taken the industry by storm with her vision. The line is nominated in every girl/girl category at the XBIZ awards for 2012.
