(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) -- Online adult store GameLink.com takes on an important cause in November – its staff teams up for Movember, a mustache growing movement to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. The GameLink staff, led by Director of Sales Jeff Dillon and Online Sales Rep. Jarrott Mitchell, is donating its time and upper lips for the important movement. This touches me personally, as my Uncle Roy, who has been a father figure in my life, is battling prostate cancer. Movember aims to change the face of men’s health by putting a fun twist on this serious issue. Using the moustache as a catalyst, they want to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to talk about their health more openly.
Movember's primary campaign objective is to raise awareness of men's health issues, specifically cancers affecting men. They want everyone to know most cancers are highly curable if caught in the early stages — including prostate and testicular cancer. Movember aims to increase early detection, diagnosis and effective treatment, as this will ultimately reduce the number of deaths from cancer. The Movember Foundation and its men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong, are funding world-class awareness, research, educational and support programs that would otherwise not be possible.
