Dunst Weighs Nude Scene Carefully
(ARLINGTON, VA) -- Kirsten Dunst felt a little shy about doing a nude scene in the upcoming movie ``crazy/beautiful.''
Playing a girl from a wealthy family, the 19-year-old actress was to walk naked through the house to get a condom, then have a sex scene with a poor Hispanic schoolmate, played by Jay Hernandez.
``Kirsten felt a little uncomfortable about too much attention on the nudity in her first sexual movie,'' director John Stockwell told USA Today in Friday's editions.
Stockwell cut the walk through the house and made sure that only Dunst's skin is visible but nothing graphic. He showed her all the footage in a monitor during the shoot and allowed her and her mother, Inez, to watch the editing of the scene to make sure Dunst approved.
``It was a strange experience,'' Stockwell said. ``I think her mom was a bit taken aback.''
Much of the scene was cut anyway to make sure the Disney film has a PG-13 rating instead of an R rating when it opens June 29. Stockwell had to trim the two-minute scene in half.
