Monday evening, January 17Th, it was off to the Slidebar Rock 'N' Roll Kitchen, in Fullerton, to see just what Angel Vain had been telling me about on a certain community website.
Angel Vain, Aurora Snow and retired adult film star, Holly Hollywood were there hanging out on the stage, and a DJ spinning music.
My impression of the Slidebar is that it is a nice, clean, interesting place with a friendly staff and friendly, mostly good-looking, young, customers. The customers aren't too young to drink, of course.
During this particular evening, in addition to people drinking and having a good time, there was a fundraiser going on.
Included in the evening's happenings, raffle drawings were being held to raise as much money as possible.
Due to a spinal cord injury, Aurora Snow's brother is a quadriplegic.
The money was being raised to help Aurora's family with the cost of sending her brother to the Spinal Cord Recovery Center, in Miami, Florida, in hopes that he will someday be able to have some mobility of his own.
Shortly after entering the bar, I ran into Warren, a club buddy for a few years now. He later introduced me to his somewhat new wife.
When Warren and his spouse decided to call it a night, they gave me several raffle tickets they had purchased.
Lo and behold, the first number that Angel Vain called out in the next drawing was one of the tickets Warren and wife had given me.
I won a gift basket loaded with lots of neat, adult type, goodies and a XXX DVD. After thinking about my prizes for a moment or two, I realized that there was no way I would ever have a chance to use any of the goodies in the basket; therefore, I kept the DVD and donated the gift basket back to be raffled off again. Hopefully some young stud later won the basket and will get lots of naughty fun with its contents. (Before leaving around 1AM, I gave my remaining raffle tickets to a good-looking young couple I had been chatting with.)
There is another fundraiser planned for Aurora's brother on February 9, 2011. It is to take place at the Pourtal Wine Tasting Bar, in Santa Monica. There is to be a twenty dollar cover charge half of which will be donated to Aurora's brother's medical expenses fund. Also, fifteen percent of the sales of alcoholic beverages during the event will also be donated.
Aurora is in the process of setting something up to enable people to purchase advance tickets to the event online.
People should check AuroraSnow.com from time to time. Once Aurora has everything set up, it will be announced on her website.

Getting back to the Slidebar, since there are a good number of adult film stars living in Orange County, Angel Vain is hoping to keep the Monday night thing rolling. If fact, she told me that she is hoping to eventually get a karaoke thing going similar to PSK Club, at Sardo's Grill and Lounge, in Burbank, and Tres Equis Karaoke, at the Corner Club, in Woodland Hills.
