I'd like to extend an invitation to you to be a special featured guest of one of the Dr. Susan Block Institute’s most exciting TV shows and most popular live events, our 12th annual Eros Day Celebration.
Eros Day will be held on Saturday, January 22rd, 2011 at our beautiful, new 14,000 square foot internet, radio and cable TV studio, art gallery and private club, popularly known as "Dr. Suzy's Speakeasy," located within the Block Institute, an internationally renowned center for sex exploration, investigation and therapy in downtown Los Angeles, founded by Susan M. Block, Ph.D. In 1991.
A world-renowned sexologist, best-selling author and familiar personality on HBO (appearing soon as the "Cathouse" sex therapist on HBO), as well as her weekly broadcasts of the Dr. Susan Block Show, recently featured on "Nightline" and "Inside Edition" and a frequent lecturer on sexuality at Yale University (her alma mater), UCLA, Usc and Cal Tech, Dr. Block promotes the "Bonobo Way of Peace through Pleasure" through all her publications and productions, including Eros Day.
Traditionally, Eros Day honors Eros, the primeval god of love, lust and life itself according to classical mythology, and a little phallic planetoid according to modern astronomy, as well as the "Spirit of Eros" –passionate love. Ancient Greek festivals of Eros date back to 1800 Bce. In the 1990's, Italian Father of Modern European Porn Lasse Braun designated the current holiday and passed it on to Dr. Block who began hosting annual celebrations on or around January 22 when the planetoid 433-Eros spins closest to Earth.
If you say yes, we will feature you in all Eros Day promotions, which reach out to100,000 fans via our opt-in only email list, promotional email blasts to our Google group of 20,000 individuals and couples, all of whom are interested in sexuality, media (both mainstream and sex-oriented), our Twitter, LinkedIn, Bebo, MySpace, BonoboWay and Facebook pages, as well as about 30 other smaller social networking sites.
Last year, Eros Day was covered by the LA Weekly, Hustler and LA Edition among other media, as well as via numerous sex and adult industry news outlets and bloggers. We are getting tentative confirmations from these media and others for this year as well. We also broadcast the show and after-party live on drsusanblock.com and tape it for cable TV.
