(ATLANTA, GA) -- Week one wrapped up on Friday in the Gold Club racketeering trial in Atlanta. On Friday the District Judge rules that John A. "Junior' Gotti will not have to testify in the trial.

Federal prosecutors had wanted to ask Gotti four questions, but Gotti had said he would invoke his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

Also Friday, Mafia hit man Dino Basciano completed his testimony in which he linked Gold Club owner, Steven Kaplan and the Gold Club itself to the Gambino crime family. Kaplan's attorney Steve Sadow ended Friday by saying that Basciano's testimony only proved that Kaplan and the Gold Club were being extorted by the mob. The trial picks up on Monday Morning.
