(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Adult industry fan favorite Sophie Dee crosses over with her first major mainstream role in the upcoming independent comedy ''Ricky Longdick & the Golden Error of Porn.''
Dee plays a '70-era porn star in the film, co-written and co-directed by Daniel Gagliardi and Ken Schefler. She also appeared in the CW's ''90210,'' ''Model Ball Internet Show,'' and will be regularly featured in Showtime's upcoming series ''Look,'' written and directed by Adam Rifkin.
''Working on this project is amazing,'' Dee said. ''I'm having a lot of fun with it — I've always been a fan of the '70s and this movie is a spoof of the X-rated features shot back then. It's a very sexy role, which I'm used to playing, but I also have a chance to be funny and act, which is something my fans rarely see.''
Gagliardi and Schefler said they took notice of Dee because of her prior mainstream roles and her strong audition. They were looking to cast a real porn star, but they were also looking for someone easy to work with — which they found in Dee.
