BOLD CAPTURES MEDIA SPOTLIGHT - 32-Year-Old Michael Davis is Building a Publishing Empire

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Michael Davis, who publishes BOLD magazine and its companion Web site www.boldmagazine.com, embraces controversy. In fact, the 32-year-old CEO of Davis Media Group has built his publishing empire on tackling thorny issues.
BOLD exposed the truth behind scandals involving President George W. Bush, the LAPD, America Online, the Beverly Hills Police Department, hate groups in America and credit Card scams. He recently captured the media spotlight by offering a $50,000 reward for the name of the person who dropped the dime on Robert Downey Jr.
In BOLD¹s April issue, the free, monthly publication features laugh-riot entertainment, pieces on sick humor, Web sites, top comics who push the envelope and outrageous moments in TV talk shows. BOLD also raises eyebrows by challenging readers to extend a compassionate hand to the homeless. "We will not just be a funny magazine," he protests. "I want BOLD to be over the top, impact society and have a serious voice."
While BOLD entertains and enlightens readers with sarcasm and Social consciousness, Davis also stands firm in his convictions. BOLD supports animal rights, abortion, gay rights, legalization of marijuana and prostitution, free speech, adult entertainment and political independence, and opposes gun control, censorship, the death penalty, racism, hate crimes, prayer in public schools, Internet censorship/taxation and victimless crime prosecution.
As one of the youngest publishers in the country, Davis still finds time to play. The confirmed bachelor trains in his own private gym and travels extensively all over the world. He remains close friends with Pauly Shore, a former school chum from Beverly Hills High. Looking to the future, Davis Media currently has other titles under development. The company also plans to expand to radio, TV and online services.
