Shane’s World, Hush Hush Rack Up 6 Noms

(CHATSWORTH, CA) -- Shane’s World and Hush Hush Entertainment are proud to announce that the two studios have been nominated for six AVN Awards. The awards, which will be announced on January 9th, 2010, are the highest honor those in the adult industry aspire to.
Shane’s World continued in its tradition of being the premier reality porn studio with its flagship series – Shane’s World 41: Aspen being nominated for Best Gonzo release. The often-imitated, never duplicated series features porn stars being taken out of the typical Southern California setting and sent on wild adventures in locations all over the country. ''Shane’s World is truly unique in that it isn’t shot in the Valley or in Miami like everything else,'' said Shane’s World VP of Operations Valerie See. ''With Shane’s World you get to see the girls out of their element and it is true reality porn.''
The innovative Porn Week series was also nominated for Best Gonzo Series by AVN. The series, which features everyday people spending a week living it up with porn stars is already a huge hit in Europe and has since been brought to the United States via Shane’s World’s distribution. ''We are so happy for Porn Week because there is simply no other series like it on the market,'' said See. ''The guys at Porn Week created something that’s truly original in our industry and we’re thrilled that AVN has given them this honor.''
Shane’s World’s newest series – Shameless Amateurs - picked up 2 nominations. The critically acclaimed series is nominated for Best Amateur release and Best Packaging Innovation. The series features home video footage shot by renowned photographer Rick Shameless and features a beautiful fold-out poster along with the DVD. While Shameless Amateurs Volume 2 garnered the 2 nominations this year, Volume 3 was recently released and is already a frontrunner for the 2011 AVN Awards.
Hush Hush Entertainment continued its tradition of dominating the Best Interracial Series category. My Daughter is Fucking Blackzilla has been nominated in each of the past 3 years, and won the award in 2008, while in 2007 another Hush Hush series’ My Hot Wife is Fucking Blackzilla won the award. ''We’ve been at the top of the interracial genre since day one,'' said Hush Hush CEO Andrew S. ''And this year is no different as we launched our new interracial series’ Darkzilla and Whitezilla to compliment the Blackzilla line. Hush Hush’s sister studio Bone Digital also picked up a nomination with Michael Stefano’s Office Confessionals series being nominated for Best Vignette Series. An exclusive director for Bone Digital, Stefano was given the ultimate honor this year by AVN, as we he will be enshrined in the AVN Hall of Fame. The veteran performer and director has appeared in over 800 movies in his illustrious career which now spans over 12 years. ''We’re very happy for Michael going into the Hall of Fame,'' said Hush Hush CEO Andrew S. ''He’s a tremendous performer, director and a great guy.''
