Playboy.com Invites Fans To Play Ball!

Starting today, fans who log-on to Playboy.com will have a chance to take a swing at the "Big Leagues" with the Playboy.com Fantasy Baseball Challenge (fantasysports.playboy.com/baseball/intro.asp).
Powered by STATS, Inc, the world's leading sports information provider, the free Playboy.com fantasy game challenges fans to manage a unique six-team roster throughout the entire 2001 baseball season. Unlike traditional fantasy baseball games, which rely upon the sum performances of individually selected players, the Playboy.com Fantasy Baseball Challenge employs a distinctive strategy utilizing team totals. Those proving they can step up to the plate best have the chance to win numerous weekly prizes, with exclusive Playboy prize packages awarded to the best overall players in the first and second halves of the season.
In the league's easy to play format, fantasy managers 18 years of age and older will assemble a team featuring their best combination of six Major League franchises from the six pre-assembled groupings on the Playboy.com site (for a total of one team from each of the six groups). Progress will be tracked based on each team's real-life performance, and a complete scoring system will be provided on the Web site. Teams can be traded for other teams at any time, with each week's trading deadline at 11:59 pm/ET Sunday. There will be one weekly winner throughout the entire season, and grand prize winners named at the All-Star break and end of the regular season. Players can check their standings at any time by logging-on to the site throughout the duration of the season.
