(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- The fabricated hype that Charles Manson was seeking out Phil Spector in their prison is just plain wacky. Prison officials told ABC News 20/20 that there is no way Manson can communicate with Spector.

They are in two different buildings located in two different areas in separate fenced in complexes. Prison officials also told ABC news that the story could of only come from Spector's handlers and wife.

Recently Team Spector announced that they were seeking e-mail access for Spector. The friends of Lana Clarkson started a petition letter writing campaign to Warden Darrel Adams at Corcoran State Prison where Spector now resides with a 19 years to life prison for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson.

The friends feel that giving a convicted murderer with a life sentence the ability to contact other criminals on the outside, to possibly empower and pay them to cause harm or death to his enemies, is irresponsible and extremely dangerous.
