Politician Fired, Wife a Pornstar

Town Manager William Scott Janke was fired last night as a result of the Fort Myers Beach Mayor calling an emergency council meeting after discovering the story about his manager's wife, Jazella Moore. Apparently the mayor views Janke's wife's career as ''a distraction''.
From the Cape Coral Daily Breeze:
Mayor Larry Kiker called the meeting after receiving media inquiries concerning Town Manager Scott Janke's wife, who, according to a report posted on AINews, an adult industry Web site, is involved in the adult entertainment business.
''I called a meeting with the council and said we have an issue here,'' Kiker said this morning.
The town council discussed the options available, per the town attorney, who was present at the meeting.
The board voted 5-0 that Janke be terminated under a contract clause that lets the council dismiss him ''without cause'' with a severance package is provided. The amount called for in the contract is six months salary, plus health benefits. The salary portion of the contract is approximately $50,000 Kiker said.
''If you look at it, the man didn't do anything illegal,'' Kiker said. ''but it's obvious what the issue is.''
Kiker was asked if the council had verified the AINews report...

According to the publication Adult Industry News Mrs. Anabela Mota Janke is also Jazella Moore, star of adult flics [sic] and websites.
Council member Jo List said her vote, part of a unanimous vote to terminate, is not a judgment of Janke or his wife's lifestyle.
''My vote was a vote on the credibility and livelihood of our town,'' she said. ''I do know her, and I have nothing bad to say about her. She's always been very pleasant and very interested in what her husband does for the town. It's not a statement on what she does and not a judgment on what she chose as a career.''
Mayor Larry Kiker said that he also knows Mrs. Janke well, and she seems a ''very genuine, very nice person...''

Janke undoubtedly knew what he was doing when he and Jazella got married. It appears from the speed of the mayor and town council that Janke would have known this would happen if the news surfaced, back in October 2008 when they married. It must be love.
