Playboy.com Returns to Mardi Gras

(NEW YORK, NY) -- For the third-straight year, Playboy.com will return to the famed French Quarter for its annual coverage of one of the world's most renowned celebrations. Beginning Friday, February 23 and continuing through Fat Tuesday, February 27, visitors from around the world who log-on to Playboy.com will have an all-access pass to the Mardi Gras celebration. Updated throughout the day, every day, the site will cover the action-packed revelry from its balcony headquarters at 735 Bourbon Street.
Joining in this year's festivities will be the official sponsors for Playboy.com's Mardi Gras 2000 activities, Southern Comfort and Gathering of Developers.
Highlighting this year's coverage on Playboy.com will be this year's hosts, Playboy Cyber Girl Jessica Turner, and Playmates Suzanne Stokes (February 2000), Rebecca Scott (August 1999), and Layla Roberts (October 1997). Playboy.com's Web cams, photographers and reporters will follow the hosts throughout the historic French Quarter, scouring the city for the hottest activities, parades and the women who will be crowned Playboy.com's Mardi Gras Girl of the Day, providing one of the Web's most comprehensive Mardi Gras destinations. The Playboy.com team will post continuously updated coverage of life in the Quarter, celebrating the traditions of Mardi Gras, as well as offer behind-the-scenes video and photo footage as an exclusive offering to members of the Playboy Cyber Club (http://cyber.playboy.com).
Once again, bead-hungry crowds in the Quarter will be vying for Playboy.com's exclusive limited edition custom Rabbit Head beads. The beads, a must-have at both Mardi Gras '99 and '00, will only be available during the four-day event, and in limited supply for purchase in the online-only PlayboyStore.com.
