Mainstream Debut Showcases Sunny Lane

(HOLLYWOOD, CA) -- Adult superstar Sunny Lane might know a thing or two about walking the red carpet at Hollywood events but the AVN award-winning actress is about to strut directly into the mainstream spotlight when Naked Ambition: An R- rated Look at an X-rated Industry premieres May 1st at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Theatres in Los Angeles. The public is invited.
The movie created by prominent celebrity photographer Michael Grecco focuses on the adult entertainment industry and the booming careers of Sunny Lane and alt- porn personality Joanna Angel from the earliest days in a thrilling video journey that is sure to entertain, surprise and capture the imaginations of movie-goers.
Naked Ambition: An R-rated Look at an X-rated Industry takes the audience to a surreal setting where thousands travel each January: The Adult Video News Awards affectionately referred to as the Oscars of Porn.
''I’m really excited that Naked Ambition is making its debut in Los Angeles because I know how much work went into getting the film completed,'' Sunny Lane said. ''it’s not easy for the producers to create such an in-depth look at the industry because it takes years to film, not just weeks or months. The cameras were with us for a very long time and I’m excited to watch the movie in a theater full of people,'' she offered.
In a rather strange turn of events, the two minute audience-friendly movie trailer which can be seen on YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDt97rphNV4 has been red-banded by the MPAA due to the subject matter even though there is no sex or nudity on the screen. The ruling means that it is restricted from being shown in front of youth-oriented films which ironically has helped expose the movie’s arrival to an even larger audience due to blogs and trade publication reports.
The movie will make what many are predicting to be a triumphant debut Friday, May 1st at the Laemmle Sunset 5 during a special limited engagement of one week only with daily showings at 1:00pm 3:10pm, 5:20pm, 7:40pm and 9:50pm which are all open to the general public.

If attendance for the Michael Grecco film is as good as expected during LA week, the movie could go national.
