Stormy Daniels Senate Draft on CNN

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that 2009 AVN Nominee and contract performer/director Stormy Daniels discussed the controversial grassroots efforts to draft her for the 2010 U.S. Senate Race today on cable news leader CNN (video clips are currently available on www.CNN.com). Two interviews initially aired on American Morning and were followed by a compelling talk with CNN's Rick Sanchez this afternoon.

The topic of the high-profile interviews was Ms. Daniels' reaction to the controversial efforts of her supporters at www.draftstormy.com to encourage her to run for the U.S. Senate seat of David Vitter, the embattled Louisiana senator who faces re-election in 2010.

No stranger to controversy himself, Vitter became a fixture of the pop culture zeitgeist in 2007 when he was famously implicated in connection with the investigation of infamous ''D.C. Madam'' Deborah Jeane Palfrey. The office Stormy may seek has been held by Vitter since 2004.

In response to the efforts to draft her into the 2010 US Senate Race, Ms. Daniels issued the following statement this morning through publicist Craig Melone: ''I am honored and admittedly surprised by the encouragement that I am receiving to enter the race for the United States Senate from Louisiana. I am especially impressed by the efforts of the DraftStormy campaign. They have demonstrated a keen understanding of the issues that particularly concern me, namely protecting our children and defending our first amendment rights and of course the economic challenges that all Americans are facing in these difficult times. These are issues that I care deeply about and will continue to support and speak out on regardless of whether I become a candidate for the United States Senate.

''I realize that an undertaking of this sort is something that one should not enter into lightly. Therefore over the next days and weeks I will be discussing this prospect with my family and friends and will also continue to listen to the people of Louisiana for their thoughts and insights. Only after careful consideration will I decide whether to pursue this unique opportunity.''

Press wishing to interview Stormy Daniels about the Draft Stormy movement are encouraged to contact Craig Melone of Hands On PR. 310-341-3201 Handsonpr@AOL.com
