(HOLLYWOOD, CA) -- Join us at the New Beverly Cinema at midnight this Saturday, August 16th, as we once again turn back the clock to the days when XXX adult films were actually shown in theaters!
We've put together an amazing program with two rare adult features along with a selection of vintage porn trailers, snack bar ads and assorted weirdness. This will be another incredible flashback to the golden age of adult cinema, as we grind out over two-and-a-half hours of 35mm smut.
If we continue to draw an audience this will be a regular midnight series presenting rare 35mm prints of classic 1970's XXX films. We've shown biker films, women in prison films, kung fu, Italian zombies, gore classics... And now we present the missing piece of the classic 42nd Street film experience.
Here's your chance to see golden-age adult films projected on the big screen as they were meant to be seen, surrounded by other fans and freaks. Since the rise of home-video and the internet the viewing of adult films has largely become a lonely solo pursuit, but there was a time when it was a social experience shared with others (which, we admit, could occasionally be somewhat bizarre and brain- damaging).
We think it's time to bring porn out of the privacy of the home and back into theaters where it belongs. So shut down your Pc, unplug that DVD player, and come out to the New Beverly on Saturday for the full vintage porn experience!
Bring a date, bring yo' MA, bring a dirty old man... fun for all! Happy endings not guaranteed, but always a possibility.

Her Taste of Freedom (1972)
This rarity from the very early days of American porn feature films, released the same year as Deep Throat and pre-dating the rise of ''porno chic'', is a complete mystery to us but is definitely one that's worth catching. Also known as her First Taste of Freedom, this is a surprisingly well shot and acted film from San Francisco that's a combo of hot hardcore sex and indie art film. We're still trying to figure out the story behind this one, which clearly had some legit talent involved. Join us in figuring out the mystery and watching this rare 35mm print unspool with a hot 'n horny audience!

Directed by Jim Clark Starring Lysa Thatcher, Lori Palmer, Crissi Dalton, Kathy Harcourt, Juliet Jay, Suzzanna Ash, Cynthia Davenport, Jerry Butler, R. Bolla, Jake Teague and Mac Josephs.
Not to be confused with the Tatum O'Neal/Kristy McNichol Little Darlings being screened later this month as part of Phil Blankenship's 'New Beverly Midnights' series, this is a feature by Debbie does Dallas director Jim Clark from the very early 80's period when film was still king and the golden age of adult cinema was still in full swing. There are some classic performers in this one, including Cannibal Holocaust star R. Bolla!
