(BARCELONA, SPAIN) -- Private Media Group Inc. (Nasdaq: PRVT - news), a leader in high-class adult entertainment products and services since 1965 and the first such company trading on the Nasdaq National Market, today announced that its flagship website, www. private.com, has won Best International Internet Site at the annual Venus International Erotic Fair, held in Berlin, Germany. Antonio Adamo, the recently-announced director of the first, historic joint film production between Penthouse and Private Media Group, also secured victory for Private in the Best International Movie section with his stunning debut feature, 'Sex Shot.'
Held in the Berlin Messe exhibition centre from November 4-7, the awards make-up part of the Venus International Erotic Fair which serves as a link between the erotic sector and its clients, bringing together new trends in adult products while paying tribute to the best producers and professionals of the year.
While the award for www. private.com is significant in US terms, it is especially so in the whole of Europe where telecommunications companies are increasing their Internet marketing efforts to the general public and where high-speed access to the latest broadband technology via ADSL connections is increasing rapidly. In addition, the Venus award follows another recent triumph for www. private.com, which was voted Best Adult Website of the last four years by the Dutch magazine, Passie, and follows a feature article in Forbes magazine last June which stated: ``No company is better positioned to take advantage of this new (Internet) world than Private Media Group.''
Italian director, Antonio Adamo, is a recent addition to Private Media Group's stable of film-making talent and continues the company's established reputation for high-quality content and the highest production values in the industry. Prior to this award for 'Sex Shot' (PBL 09), his debut production for the Company, Adamo completed filming of the first production in the historic joint production movie series
