LOS ANGELES--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1999--Virgin Megastore Online (www.virginmega.com), founded by entertainment mogul Richard Branson, has teamed with the legendary Hugh Hefner to bring consumers the sexiest adult entertainment available online.
With this new union, Virgin Megastore Online and Playboy officially unveil the ``Playboy'' section at www.virginmega.com today.
Consumers shopping at Virgin Megastore Online will be able to access the Playboy section with a quick click; simply select video, scroll and select Playboy and away you go. Although Virgin Megastore Online does not currently sell copies of Playboy Magazine, the site will provide exclusive feature stories with various Playboy Playmates, host special promotions and offer discount incentives to online consumers.
For its first promotion, Virgin Megastore Online is offering the entire Playboy catalog of Video products (VHS and DVD) at 25% off. Playboy DVD's come with closed caption and multi-language function encoding.
The Playboy section at Virgin Megastore Online launches with the debut feature story on none other than Playboy's 1999 Playmate of the Year, Heather Kozar. The Ohio native and 23-year-old was discovered by Playboy in 1996 when she auditioned for their Great Lingerie Model Search in Cleveland.
