Wryly funny memoirist and one-time Sn&R contributor Beth Lisick, who recently dazzled visitors to the Los Angeles Time's Festival of Books held perennially at Ucla, teaming up with Dave Eggers for charity, is said to be the perfect counterpoint to Kross, interjecting a brash and bawdy satirical note to sweeten the harrowing and seductive mood Kross weaves like the fabled piper's mesmerizing symphony.
