(WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA) -- "It never fails to surprise the hell out of me every year!" laughs Jason Sechrest, owner/operator of JasonCurious.com, the site known for its tell-all tales of what everyone's favorite porn stars are really like behind the scenes. The site announced its fourth annual Top Ten Most Popular Men & Women list this afternoon, with Caleb Carter and Stormy Daniels taking the highest rankings above hundreds of other porn stars featured in photos and videos on the popular reality porn site. Carter leaped to the top spot from #6 Most Popular in 2006 while Daniels had a steady climb from #3 Most Popular in 2006 and #4 Most Popular in 2005.
"First of all, you have to think of what JasonCurious.com is really and why people are going there," says Sechrest. "It's a unique site. This is not a list of the most popular porn stars in the business, it's a list of who has gone beyond being just a sex object and has become a subject of fascination, so much so that people want to read more about who they are behind the scenes. When obsession for a performer sets in, that's when people come to me."
Sechrest is also quick to note the link between the two winners in 2007 is mainstream exposure. "Caleb Carter was all over Mtv in 2007, starring in two reality shows for them that got played ad nauseum, and no doubt people were curious about this porn star! Being a columnist for JasonCurious.com, we were like his official web site really. We're the first thing that comes up in search engines for him, so we got lucky there. Meanwhile, Wicked Pictures contract star Stormy Daniels has been all over prime time and cable Tv in the last year, not to mention cameos in mainstream films. She's really gaining on Jenna Jameson, in my opinion, as the most mainstream adult performer out there. Stormy is just inches away from being a worldwide household name."
Fans of Caleb Carter will be happy to know that there will be no shortage of him on the site in the months to come.
