(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- The world of adult entertainment has seen its share of come backs. In an industry where retirement is very rarely forever, such returns to the business are easy to overlook. Not this time. Nicki Hunter was never your average porn star. Her departure from porn was not due to the plethora of usual reasons and her come back will be far from ordinary.
In 2003 Nicki came out of Florida and took the world of porn by storm. She was nominated for AVN's Best New Starlet in her first year and then for Performer of the Year in her second. She performed in over 500 scenes during her three years in the industry and won both critical acclaim and glowing praise from legions of fans who couldn't get enough of her intense sexual energy and good looks.
With her career in high gear, Nicki got some life changing medical news. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Though the disease forced her to stop performing, it didn't keep her from staying busy. She began a non- profit organization called Hunter C. A. R. E. (Cancer Awareness Remission Education).
Nicki has also dabbled in the world of directing and production. During her recovery, these new skills became a staple of her career. Proven success as a director has given Nicki the opportunity to shoot for such companies as Hustler Video, Venus Girls, Meanbitches.com, Deviant David as well as her own company, Hunter Entertainment. Soon she can add SlutWerkz, owned by Kylie Ireland, to this growing list.
Not about to let cancer get the best of her, Nicki is beating the disease and is ready to get back in front of the camera and do what she loves best. She has signed on with Shy Love's Adult Talent Managers and April Storm's Versatile Media Group to get her comeback off to a fast start.
"I am so excited to be back," said an ecstatic Nicki. "It has been a difficult time, but love of what I do and for those around me has helped me to retain my strength and to continue within the industry that has become my family. I am proud to be working with someone like Shy and with our minds collaborating, the sky is the limit with what we can accomplish. She is a consummate professional and I look forward to a long and successful relationship."
Next month Nicki returns to a series that has brought her great success in the past. Her first movie back will be the Cousin Steve's latest Pussy Party adventure. "Assalicious-8 Girl Orgy" will feature Nicki working with some of her favorite ladies. Joining Nicki in the orgy will be Flower Tucci, Luscious Lopez, Olivia O'Lovely, Trina Michaels and Alana Evans.
