ASACP Creates Video Protecting Children

by: Company Press Release

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has created a new video demonstrating the adult industry’s commitment to self-regulation through adoption of the RTA ("Restricted to Adults") website label.

The new video which is available for viewing on YouTube.com and on ASACP’s MySpace Page features highlights from the June press Conference announcing the RTA website label.

"In the five years I have been Executive Director of ASACP not once did I meet an adult content producer who wanted children to see their work," stated ASACP Executive Director Joan Irvine. "However while the industry does firmly believe that their work is by adults for adults only, there are people out there who believe that the adult industry wants to corrupt their children. The reason we have created this video is to clearly state that this is not the case."

In addition to the press conference footage of Irvine, the video includes quotes from Free Speech Advocate Greg Piccionelli and Wicked Pictures Contract Performer, Writer, and Director Stormy Daniels. Daniels discusses how the adult industry is taking responsibility to prevent children from viewing age-inappropriate material online. Piccionelli echoes this sentiment and also reminds people that RTA is not intended to stop parents or anyone 18 and over from viewing adult content.

ASACP urges all of its supporters to help spread the word about adopting the RTA website label. Complete information about the RTA label and how to use it is available at www.RTAlabel.org.

Founded in 1996, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP battles child pornography through its Cp reporting hotline, and by organizing the efforts of the online adult industry to combat the heinous crime of child sexual abuse.
