BlueBlood Pirate Day Wishes
by: Company Press Release
(HOLLYWOOD, CA) -- Blue Blood wishes everyone a Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day. This September 19th holiday was founded by two guys named Mark Summers and John Baur, with assistance from their friend Brian Rhodes and boosting from talented humorist Dave Barry. And Blue Blood celebrates it, yarrr.
Although the Blue Blood discussion boards are known for their intelligent and rational conversations on hot button topics, the forums do also feature long- running pirates versus ninjas battles. Critical thinking is vital, but being good at pirate lingo is always a plus. So, for International Talk Like a Pirate Day, Amelia G and Forrest Black decided that they just had to feature a photo set of Halloween Jen Vixen. Famous corsetmaker Isabella Costumiere donated black pirate pantaloons and a white corset for the cause. Jen already had her own eye patch with a skull and crossbones on it. Now that be a fine lass, yarr. Ms. Vixen is now featured on BlueBlood.com in a dozen sets with a whopping 611 photographs lensed by Amelia G and Forrest Black. In addition to images of the beautiful tattooed Jen Vixen, membership in the BlueBlood.com mega site includes an additional 80,154 pictures, of 348 other incredibly gorgeous hotties, shot by a variety of cutting edge photographers, quality fiction from established genre authors and Blue Blood's world famous signature couples photo sets.
When you think about it, the Blue Blood skull does have a hint of the Jolly Roger about it. Avast, all scurvy dogs, prepare to be boarded!

About Blue Blood:
Blue Blood is a lifestyle company founded by Amelia G in 1992. Blue Blood began as a pioneering magazine dedicated to showcasing the beauty, sensuality, and coolness of the emerging eclectic underground populated by gothic, punk, fandom, and pre-internet cyberculture. The magazine quickly rose to the largest circulation in its niche. In addition to sponsoring numerous successful events, Blue Blood very successfully transitioned to the web. Both the print and digital incarnations of Blue Blood have received pre ss in diverse venues, ranging from Hbo and Fox to Lollipop and Vf to Marquis and the Hong Kong Sun. Among Blue Blood's various ente rprises are a variety of entertainment publications in both print and digital media, innovation in content-packaging, and the SpookyCash affiliate program, as well as the Blue Blood Boutique, which purveys a signature line of apparel and accessories.
About Amelia G:
Amelia G is the editor, writer, and photographer who founded Blue Blood, the seminal counterculture print magazine, and now helms an extended network of adult and non-adult entertainment sites, the Blue Blood Boutique, and the affiliate program SpookyCash. Amelia's B2B internet properties have received coverage in venues from adult internet trade magazines to Forbes. Amelia is called upon to offer her subcultural expertise when the New York Times Magazine wants to know about vampires and when Mtv wants to know about this Gothic thing. In partnership with Forrest Black, Amelia has shot dozens of magazine covers and more than six hundred pages of editorial. As a writer, Amelia started out writing for science fiction and punk zines and for professional metal magazines as a teenager, and lost count of her nonfiction clips when the total broke a thousand published features. Her fiction has appeared in dozens of anthologies and magazines, is regularly honored in Best of collections, and was described by Locus as "poignant." Amelia G was born in London and lived in five countries on three continents, before making Los Angeles her home. Her vices include pretty boys, pretty girls, iced lattes, and original ideas.
About Forrest Black:
Forrest Black was born in San Francisco in a house with thirteen black cats. As a baby went from crawling to walking at parties where the Grateful Dead jammed. With an artistic sensibility and an educational background in computer science and project management, Forrest Black came on board at Blue Blood, on the second issue, as art director. As an early adopter on the web, Forrest worked on sites for clients ranging from e*Trade and Lexus to the Beastie Boys and the Dandy Warhols. His technical expertise and visual aesthetics were instrumental in transitioning the Blue Blood brand to the web in the mid-90's. In partnership with Amelia G, Forrest has shot dozens of magazine covers and more than six hundred pages of editorial. He currently supervises all design and code teams for Blue Blood's network of entertainment sites and is responsible for the brand's overall look and feel. He enjoys rainy days, cats, and plain cheeseburgers, not necessarily in that order.
