Private Media Group Receives 18 Nominations in Key U.S. Industry Awards Ceremonies

(BARCELONA, Spain) -- Private Media Group Inc. (Nasdaq: PRVT - news), a leader in high-class adult entertainment products and services since 1965 and the first such company trading on the Nasdaq National Market, today announced that the Company has received 18 nominations in two separate awards ceremonies to be hosted by the highly influential U.S. industry trade magazine, Adult Video News. Since the Company began releasing movies in 1992, it has won 14 AVN awards.
For the traditional AVN awards ceremony, to be held in Las Vegas on January 8, 2000, Private has been nominated for 13 awards in seven different categories, including Best DVD, Best DVD Extras (technical), Best Overall Marketing Campaign/Company Image, Best Director, Best Scene, Best Foreign Vignette Tape and Best Foreign Feature.
Three days later, also in Las Vegas, Adult Video News hosts its 2nd Annual Adult Internet Awards. Private Media Group has received five nominations in five separate categories, including Best Overall Adult website (www. private. com), Best Commerce/Retail Website (http://shop. private. com), Best E-zine, Best Photography (www. privategold. com) and Best Adult Hardcore Website (www. private. com).
