Federal Judge Throws out Ken Tipton Case

(LOS ANGELES, CA) -- A Federal judge has thrown out a $10 million suit against Internet Entertainment Group (IEG) by Hollywood actor Ken Tipton, ending the bizarre ``Our First Time'' hoax in which a young couple was supposed to lose their virginity before a live Web audience in 1998, IEG attorneys announced today.
Alan Issacman, attorney for IEG said that U.S. District Judge Manuel Real granted summary judgment for IEG and denied a motion for summary judgment filed by Tipton. The court also ordered Tipton to pay IEG's legal costs. The case arose after IEG discovered that Tipton never intended to follow through with the ``Internet deflowering,'' which IEG was to have hosted.
``Tipton set out to deceive the public through false statements and a promise to provide an entertainment product he never intended to deliver,'' said Seth Warshavsky, President of IEG. ``The court has agreed with us that Tipton was the party who dreamed up a scam and we were the ones who pulled the plug on it.''
Internet Entertainment Group is a Seattle-based Web content provider and Internet e-commerce development company. Its clublove.com Website has achieved notoriety for Webcasting nude photos of Dr. Laura Schlessinger, rock musician Keith Richards, and the ``honeymoon'' video of TV actress Pamela Anderson and musician Tommy Lee.
